Sandy
Jenkins carries a very diverse line of needlepoint canvas. She has everything
from Victorian to folk-art designs. All of her pieces are of high quality raw
canvas and feature hand painted designs.
Sandy has been stitching since she was
three. She has been designing needlepoint for about ten years. This, plus 24
years of experience teaching decorative painting, makes for her great designs
and fantastic finished pieces. There are only a handful of designers who
actually stitch! She recently received a DMC Teacher of the Year
Award for 1999.
Sandy started the Hill Country
Needlepoint Retreat in 1990. This Retreat not only allows ladies from all over
the country to learn how to stitch, but also supplies a much needed break from
the hustle and bustle of day to day life. This little get-away offers a chance
for fun and learning in a very peaceful Victorian atmosphere.
